Jo & Audrey's story

 

 

Following a long successful career in banking, Joe started working as a consultant in Financial  Services. As Jo enjoys being around people, Audrey wanted to give him something new and different to do. She surprised him with a variety of exotic chilli plants to look after, hoping this would turn into a hobby. For good measure, Audrey bought twice as many as these chillies are challenging to grow hence setting Jo up for success. He embraced the task with remarkable enthusiasm, and before long, their garden was overflowing with vibrant chillies. They started experimenting with recipes and were soon making jams as gifts for friends & family.

 

 

It was during the festive season of 2022 that Audrey's mother suggested they share the joy by selling their delicious jams. Following the diligent completion of the required food safety and hygiene courses with the council, Jo & Audrey inaugurated their first stall at a market in January 2023.

 

 

From that moment forward, their community of loyal customers has kept growing, prompting Jo to build a dedicated 'jam shed' in their garden to streamline production. Over the following months, Audrey devised new recipes, thinking creatively around seasonal products and bringing new flavours to life.
