Our Story

SoChilli is our family-run business, hoping to spread warmth and joy with every sweet and spicy spoonful! This is our story, so you can get to know a little more about what really makes these chilli jams so special to us and our customers! We decided to let the kids take the reigns on this one, so enjoy!

Following a successful career in finance and banking, our Dad (Jo) decided it was his chance to pursue his other interests, luckily our Mum (Audrey) knew exactly what to do and bought him an abundance of exotic chilli plants to grow in our garden. The garden soon turned from a place to play football, to a chilli farm that almost resembled a jungle. Due to Jo's dedication and hard work, they then were presented with the next question; what do we do with all these chillies?

After Jo challenged many friends and family members to try the raw chillies, Audrey decided it was time to create something that would allow them to share the chillies in a way that was accessible, tasty and didn’t make them fear coming to our house for dinner, and the SoChilli Jams were born!

When the chilli jams were met with such a positive reaction, our Grandma suggested selling to the public. Whilst it was a strange and new concept at first, they researched, innovated and arrived at their first market in January 2023 with just three types of chilli jam and lots of curiosity as to where this could go!

From this moment they ‘turned up the heat’ and the kids got called in... We began selling at London Farmers Markets, Events and Festivals, as well as Artisan Markets. We fell in love with the sense of community, sharing our creations, and all the wonderful people we were able to meet. So, the same way our chilli jungle grew, so did our business! Having such loyal, flavour-loving customers, we started using our chillies in more adventurous ways, and created a whole range of chilli jams and chutneys.

From sweet to smoky to fruity and hot, we've created chilli jams for every occasion! We are proud to say that we can create an opportunity for our customers to spread love through our product; through gifts, favours for events, as well as taking themselves and their loved ones on new taste adventures.  We want to say thank you to all our customers, friends and family that have joined and created our SoChilli family so far. We are looking forward to new recipes being created, new bonds being formed, and spreading joy with each sweet and spicy spoonful <3
